One Ecosystem, Built With Partners
StarForge™ is the product of a consortium. The Sentinel Defence Consortium brings together Canadian and allied partners across the full capability stack of modern deployable defense: counter-UAS and unmanned systems, AI-enabled target recognition and autonomous sensing, encrypted tactical communications and resilient mesh networking, edge manufacturing and additive production, deployable power systems, and the manufacturing execution software that ties distributed production together.
Partners span the country, from Atlantic Canada and Quebec through to British Columbia and Alberta. The consortium's research and sovereign IP mandate is anchored by the University of Alberta, and Lockheed Martin Skunk Works in Calgary provides the primary command and control system and sensor fusion expertise, supported by a $10 million Industrial and Technological Benefits contribution from Lockheed Martin.
Sentinel is the integration and manufacturing backbone of the ecosystem, with the industrial scale of CMP Advanced Mechanical Solutions behind it.
What a Partner Brings, and What Sentinel Brings
Consortium members contribute a technology, a research capability or a production capacity that makes the ecosystem more complete. Sentinel brings the integration work that turns those contributions into a fielded system, the manufacturing depth to build it at scale, and a route to Canadian and allied defense programs.
