Launch & Recovery Unit

StarForge LARS launch and recovery unit

Launch and Recover Unmanned Systems From Anywhere

LARS is StarForge’s rapidly deployable launch and recovery unit. It carries a ready magazine of unmanned aircraft, mixed to the operational concept, and launches interceptor, attack and ISR platforms on command from the tactical network. It is suited to advanced or distributed deployment: a single unit can sit forward of the command post and still answer to it.

LARS runs on a 10 kWh on-board power system and is rated for the same extreme environments as the rest of the ecosystem.

The StarForge C-UAS Interceptor

The Interceptor is a high-speed, attritable counter-UAS aircraft with a 100% 3D-printed airframe, which means a Forge unit can produce it at the point of need. It finds its own way to the target with a nose-mounted uncooled MWIR sensor and an on-board GPU running automatic target recognition and moving-target tracking, navigates without GPS when it has to, and keeps its command and telemetry links under electronic warfare.

Interceptor Specifications

Control and self-guidance
  • Nose-mounted IR optical sensor (MWIR, uncooled)
  • Jetson Nano GPU with ATR and moving target track
  • GPS-denied navigation capable
  • EW-resistant command and telemetry
Built for extreme conditions
  • -40° to +50° C capable (-40° F to +122° F)
  • Maritime and dusty environments
  • Over 250 km/h top speed
  • Over 15 km range
Platforms and interoperability
  • Multiple options for interceptor, ground attack and ISR platforms
  • NATO interoperability: SAPIENT, STANAG 4586 and 7085
